GliSODin\u00ae is the first patented technology that combines superoxide dismutase (SOD), derived from melons, with gliadin, which acts as a protective barrier, making the SOD stable within the body. GliSODin\u00ae represents an approach to oxidative stress that is entirely different from the administration of conventional antioxidants for example, vitamins. Instead of correcting a deficiency, it activates the endogenous antioxidant defense system by mimicking the body\u2019s response to oxygen aggression by means of an orally administered formulation.
