Sacha Inchi is a crop of Peruvian origin, planted by ancient pre-Inca cultures such as the Mochica and Chimu civilizations some 3000 to 5000 years ago. Naturik sacha inchi extruded powder is obtained from the seeds of sacha inchi (Plukenetia Volubilis L.) grown and sustainably harvested in the Amazon rainforest of Peru.
They were produced using cold pressing system with single conveying short screws to pure cold press at temperatures below 40°C sacha inchi seeds to obtain the lowest level of acidity and peroxide value and preserve all their essential fatty acids, antioxidants and phytosterols.
