Overview

Naturex has developed Glucevia™, an innovative extract from the samara of Fraxinus angustifolia. Fraxinus is a tree native to parts of Europe and Asia and is usually referred to as narrow-leaved ash. The effect of Fraxinus on blood sugar control had not been widely explored until Naturex conducted clinical trials to demonstrate its benefits. Historically, Fraxinus was largely limited to the Mediterranean Basin, where local populations traditionally used it in food and infusions, and for its hypoglycemic effect.
