BiPRO® gmp 9000
Whey protein that enriched in natural bioactive peptide, GMP to provide health benefits beyond basic nutrition
Overview
Glycomacropeptide, or GMP, is a phosphorylated and glycosylated peptide chain consisting of 64 amino acids that is generated from the casein found in milk. During the process through which milk is transformed into cheese, this “protein” is liberated into the whey. Isolation and purification utilising Agropur’s unique ion-exchange chromatography technology are the first steps in the manufacturing process for BiPRO® GMP 9000. The sputter-dried protein powder has a very high purity and is fortified with GMP. GMP, in its pure form, demonstrates a number of bioactive capabilities that are applicable to applications beyond the realm of medical foods, including but not limited to foods for phenylketonuria (PKU). Studies conducted in vitro using GMP have shown that it has a number of biological properties, including the ability to modulate the immunological response, to have an anti-inflammatory impact, and to provide protection against germs and viruses.
