Overview

Magnesium bisglycinate (magnesium glycinate) is a highly absorbable and bioavailable form of magnesium, making it an ideal ingredient for supplements. It is created by binding magnesium with two glycine molecules, which increases the solubility of this essential mineral, allowing it to be easily absorbed by the small intestine. Being fully chelated, this mineral is more easily absorbed by the body and remains covalently bonded, not becoming dissociated in the stomach’s acidic environment. Fully reacted, chelated minerals offer up to 4x more bioavailability than non-fully reacted mineral ingredients, retaining over 90% of mineral content compared to mineral salts over the shelf life, and causing less than 10% of the side effects associated with mineral salts.
